Grilling adds flavor to your food in a way no other cooking method can match. With our quality meats and produce you’ll have all the ingredients to create your entire meal, right on the grill. We carry a large selection of sauces and marinades to make it flavorful with ease. To ensure your meals will turn out well it’s a good idea to take stock of things you may need.

Whether you use a gas or traditional grill, it’s good to clean and check your grill over before your first run for the year.

We have everything you need to get started: propane tanks and refills for gas grills, charcoal selections from Kingsford and our Essential Everyday house brand for traditional grills. New this year, America’s Choice grilling pellets made form all natural hardwood from kiln dried, 100% virgin hardwood. Also smoking chips, lighter fluid, utility lighters and more. We even carry grills at very competitive prices.

Accessories allow you to take your grilling up a notch. We have the tools and utensils for all kinds of recipes: pre-soaked grilling planks, grilling baskets, sauce pots and basting brushes, long handled grill brushes, wood skewers, kabob baskets, corn on the cob baskets, beer can chicken cookers and lots more.

GRILL TIPS

How To Light A Charcoal Grill

  1. Clean the grill surface/grate.
  2. If possible, remove the grate from the grill.
  3. Open any venting holes at the side or bottom of the grill.
  4. Arrange charcoal briquets in a pyramid.
  5. Carefully add lighter fluid until briquets they have on a shiny appearance.
  6. Use a long match to light briquets (be sure to allow them to burn up to 15 minutes – ready to use when they take on an ashy look).
  7. Using a long pair or grill tongs, spread the briquets out along the bottom of the grill.
  8. Replace the grill grate with a gloved hand or long tongs. 9. Cook your food to the proper internal temperatures… and enjoy!

Cooking Tips

  • Briquets should always be spread just wider than the area needed for the cooking area you need.
  • For thinner meat spread evenly on the bottom.
  • For thicker cuts of meat spread the briquets more heavily on one side and thinner on the other.
  • Grill the outside of a thick cut on the side with more.
  • Finish grilling on the side of the grill with less.

RECIPES

BEST JUICY BURGER EVER

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup Hellman’s® Real Mayonnaise 2 lbs. ground beef or ground turkey 1/2 cup plain dry breadcrumbs 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix 8 hamburger buns

DIRECTIONS

Combine mayonnaise with ground meat, breadcrumbs and soup mix in a large bowl; shape into 8 patties. Grill or broil until done Arrange burgers on buns. Tip: For a delicious creamy barbeque sauce topping, combine 1 cup BBQ sauce with 1/2 cup of Hellman’s® Real Mayonnaise.

GRILLED SWEET CORN

INGREDIENTS

8 ears of corn, shucked 6 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 6 pieces of aluminum foil large enough to wrap ear of corn Optional: 1 tsp. fresh basil 1 tsp. fresh thyme 2 tsp. fresh parsley 1 tsp. fresh rosemary

DIRECTIONS

Shuck, wash and dry ears of corn. Place each ear on a piece of foil. Mix butter and seasoning in a small dish. Rub seasoned butter onto each corn cob and wrap each cob in foil. Place foiled cobs on a preheated grill. General cooking time is 15 minutes on the grill. Turn often.

POLYNESIAN BURGERS

INGREDIENTS

1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 cup Lawry’s Teriyaki Marinade With Pineapple Juice 1 cup finely chopped red bell peppers 4 pineapple slices 4 hamburger rolls, lightly grilled.

DIRECTIONS

Mix beef, marinade and peppers in a medium bowl until well blended. Shape into four patties. Grill patties over medium heat 4-6 minutes per side or until cooked through. Grill pineapple slices 1-2 minutes per side or until cooked through. Brush burgers and pineapple slices with remaining marinade while grilling. Serve burger on grilled roll topped with grilled pineapple.
Optional: Use chicken! Marinate chicken. Place chicken and marinade into a zipper bag. Place bag in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more. Grill chicken until cooked through. Serve with grilled pineapple on a grilled bun.

EASY GRILLED S’MORES

INGREDIENTS

4 Honey Maid Graham Crackers broken in half (8 total squares) 1/2 cup Hershey’s® Pips (sections of a Hershey’s® Bar) 4 Kraft® Jet-Puffed Marshmallows aluminum foil Optional: Add raspberry or strawberry jam to the grahams before building the S’mores for an extra fruity flavor.

DIRECTIONS

Heat grill or section of grill to a medium heat setting. Build S’mores in the following manner: graham square, chocolate, marshmallow, graham square. Wrap square individually in aluminum foil. Place on grill for approximately 4-5 minutes or until marshmallows are melted.

GRILLED PB, BANANA & CHOCOLATE CONES

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup of Semisweet chocolate morsels 4 sugar cones 1.4 cup creamy peanut butter 1 banana, cut in half lengthwise, sliced aluminum foil Reddi-Whip® Original Dairy Whipped Topping

DIRECTIONS

Heat grill or section of grill to a medium heat setting. Place 1 tablespoon morsels in each cone. Top each with 1 Tablespoon of peanut butter. Divide banana slices equally between cones. Loosely wrap each cone in aluminum foil. Place cones on grill for a total of 5 minutes turning them from one side to another after three minutes. Remove Cones from grill and let foil cool. Remove foil and top each cone with Reddi-Whip® before serving.
Optional: For larger gatherings place banana slices, mini morsels and peanut butter in individual dishes with spoons. Allow guests to build their own cone before wrapping in foil and grilling.
