Maintenance

Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of company facilities, equipment, and grounds for all of Viking Village Inc’s properties. Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of retail and agricultural properties. Supports store operations by ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and in compliance with company standards and State of Wisconsin safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or trade certification preferred.
- Minimum of two years of maintenance experience, preferably in retail, agriculture, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification provided by Viking Village Inc.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, fixtures, and grounds.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on company equipment and systems to minimize downtime.
- Operate and maintain company equipment including forklifts, skid steers, tractors, and other machinery as needed.
- Perform regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and property to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
